About Community Involvement
How it Started
The Department of Aging and Rehabilitation (DAR) suggested I attend the Beacon House Clubhouse for traumatic brain injury survivors. I was not alone! Being around others like myself and having the structure to learn ways to manage emotions, and behaviors is invaluable. There was plenty of opportunity to bring art to the Beacon House. Helping others, paying it forward, making a difference -- whatever you call it, it works!
